  • Families are responsible for the full amount of tuition if a cancellation is made after June 1st, 2023, except in cases of severe illness, injury, or family emergency.

  • It is not possible to make any tuition reduction for arriving late or leaving early.

  • There will be no refund if a camper is asked to leave during the session for an infraction of a camp rule, for disruptive behaviour, or if a camper is voluntarily withdrawn.

Health and safety

We’re committed to providing a safe and joyful environment for campers. All of our camp staff have completed a criminal record and vulnerable sector check and we will have multiple staff members on site certified in CPR/First Aid.

If a camper is unable to attend due to injury or illness, we will work with you to organize a solution to the best of our abilities.

We expect all campers to respect and follow our rules for health, safety and behaviour. If at any time our camp staff or administration deem a camper’s behaviour to be unsafe to themselves or others, we reserve the right to remove them from our program without possibility of refund.

Water safety

Limited lakefront and open water activities may be available to older campers - ages 9 and 10. Any lake activity will be attended by an Open Water lifeguard, and a swim test will be required for each camper.

In most cases, and for campers ages 6-8, we offer alternate water activities during hot weather, including slip n’ slides and sprinkler play.

Once per session, we host Family Swim Day, in which parents, guardians, and campers are welcome to use the dock and swim in the lake. Family Swim Day is after camp hours (4pm-6pm), meaning there is no lifeguard or camp staff on duty during this time. Parents and guardians must provide all necessary safety gear (lifejackets, etc.) for their camper.

Extreme weather conditions

We are dedicated to keeping everyone safe during extreme weather events (heat waves, etc) and periods of poor air quality. While we have lots of fun activities planned, we are proactive in adapting our schedule and activities to ensure campers are safe, healthy, and happy in all weather.

Non-discrimination and accessibility

Neighbourhood Farm Schools does not discriminate against individuals on the basis of race, colour, sex, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, family make-up, religion, or national and/or ethnic origin in the administration of its admissions policies, employment policies, programs and activities.

Summer Day Camp is hosted on a working farm! This means activities will take place in a variety of environments, from the gardens to animal pens to orchards and lakeside. While we’ll do our best to accommodate campers of all abilities, we are not able to provide one-on-one aides for campers. Campers are welcome to bring their own aides, translators, or other support people. Please contact our camp team at hello@neighbourhoodfarmschools.org with questions or concerns.
