Summer Day Camp
at Bullock Lake Farm
Cooperation. Confidence. Play.
From harvesting berries, feeding animals, and cooking projects to woodworking and splatter paint art, the farm provides a playground for learning and growing.
On the farm kids can get dirty, be curious, make something new, and learn from other kids in a dynamic, cooperative, and safe setting.
Ages: 6-10
Camp Activities
-
Farm Tasks
Campers plant vegetables and flowers; help feed and care for the farm’s goats and chickens; do garden tasks, help with small improvements and repairs, and harvest vegetables.
-
Shared Meals
Enjoying meals together is one of the best parts of life on the farm. Lunch and snacks are provided each day from our farm kitchen. Campers will take turns harvesting produce, setting the table, and helping with small kitchen tasks.
-
Creative Arts
From woodworking to pressing flowers and painting with plant-based pigments, playful, place-based art will be a part of every camper’s experience.
-
Play
Afternoons are for getting creative! Campers will choose from activities ranging from skits and costumes, making ice cream, forest play, creating pinball machines, slip n’ slide, a treasure/scavenger hunt, or a game of Capture the Flag. Opportunities are endless!
-
Nature Learning
Every camper’s experience includes nature exploration and learning. From listening to and identifying birds to creating science illustratIons of plants and animals, we try to deepen our understanding of the landscape around us. We love to explore the question: Are we a part of nature?
-
Leadership
We believe we’re never too young to become better leaders. For the youngest kids, this means cooperation, kindness, and compromise. Older campers have the opportunity for mentorship and responsibility for specific tasks.
Our camp provides an immersive farm experience where kids can be free to try new things, be silly, and build confidence. All of our staff are highly capable and passionate farm educators. They each bring their own unique abilities and interests to the program, and truly shape the character of camp. We maintain a camper to staff ratio of 5 to 1.
A session’s tuition covers five days of camp, 9am-4pm, meals from our farm kitchen, including a nourishing lunch and snacks, and all materials for farm, creative, and playful activities.
Please read our camp policies (here) and review our sliding scale options prior to registering. Your first payment will be required to reserve your space. The remaining balance can be paid in instalments.
We offer scholarships for Indigenous students. Please fill out the general registration form, and indicate that you will be applying.

Sliding scale registration
We want farm camp to be accessible to all. Our camp offers a full and immersive experience, including farm-made meals, nature-based arts and crafts, and diverse opportunities to learn and play.
Please read the descriptions below to decide what level is right for your family. Paying the most your family can afford helps us cover the costs of camp and provide sliding scale options for families who need it.
Think of these descriptions as guidelines - we understand that every situation is unique and many variables affect what one can afford (enrolling siblings, choosing multiple sessions, specific circumstances, etc.). We encourage you to choose what works best for you. If these price points are inaccessible to your family, you can apply for scholarship options under the registration link below.
Our sliding scale descriptions are inspired by the wonderful Camp Fresh Roots and the work of Alexis J. Cunningfolk.
